The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord (武天) Bo Tien. The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affliliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven.

Prodigal son has his place in the sun

Learning Point No 173

Dear friends and readers, do not be disheartened if the bad seems to be well off. This is not only present everywhere but also in a temple of a saint.

Do not cry foul when someone with wrong motive takes control of a temple or church? Don't say that Heaven is blind and that there is no God and saints and conclude that saints and God are just figments of the fertile imagination of men.

Do not feel disgusted that a spiritual medium or leader has a dark life and feel short changed that the saint of the temple is not doing his due in allowing such demeanor in the leader.

Sometimes a leader even of pioneering status who have done good may displeased many because he is loud and hurtful, because he is too stubborn and unaccommodating to the point of being a stumbling block or dictator to others who want to be there for their different agenda.

These dear readers are some of the many examples of the prodigal son phenomena. Many have erred or are not perfect but if they can change or be of some good, they are welcome by God and the temple saint like prodigal sons who had forsaken the father.

Even if they have many faults in the eyes of men, the lord saint of that temple or church welcomes them and will bless them for changing or wanting to be good though they are a long way off from being saint as they are still men, worst off all still not exemplary of men in the eyes of some men.

God welcomes them if they can do some good though still having the dark side. Where else other than a temple or church could be the best place for them to make good even better even if they don't seem to be able to do so.

If not for such benevolence or opportunity by the grace of God and saint, these people will always create darkness for others or be in darkness of human folly.

Such individuals are like insects of men who at least find the flower of a temple good enough for them to come for nectar. At least they have that change or spark of goodness to want to be in a holy place of God and saint, like insects being attracted to a flower.

The insects have place beside the flower and the prodigal sons have place in the sun.

Those who find them distasteful and eyesores should remember thus. Even criminals are welcome to the house of God. If they show interest and have even some change to goodness, they can come to the good house of the lord.

But alas like leopards, they have not changed their spots. But unlike leopards, they are men and God and saints welcome them like prodigal sons coming back to the fold or like insects coming to a flower.

Lord Bo Tien  reiterated that the flower should not be blamed for insects coming to it. He too did say that we must learn from the good and not-so-good in men and that we should not question heaven's choice for letting someone to be a leader or to be involved in managing a church or temple. Do not try to understand if you could not but one day you would. These did the representatives of the good lord say.

The world of 2012 and the future beyond 2012 will be full of controversial men leading churches and temples. This should not come as surprise and may the congregations nurture them to be more good even if they have their more weaknesses than good.

Often when the congregations worship men instead of God and saints, they make matters worse. They too have become insects coming to the flower that is the temple or church. They make matters worse by pandering the mortal weaknesses in the leaders.

Nevertheless they are at least good enough to be at the temple or church and credit goes to them for that goodness but they can learn and make good even better. The issue is when they will learn and return to the fold of the right path like the prodigal son in the Biblical parable.
