Extract from Lord Bo Tien's 1981 Anniversary Message
Outcome or success of any temple may not be as expected and can even be dissapointing but the multiplier effect of the effort put in by pioneers do count.
Lord Bo Tien in 1981 said, "The process of spiritual pioneering for any religious organisation such as this
or any other temple will ever always be rich in learning, cultivation and will
be meritorious. This will add on to the spirit of life and strengthen the soul."
"This will be more important than the final outcome. The effort, sincerity,
purity and spiritedness of endeavour count more than
anything else. They augment confidence, conviction and spirituality."
When more organisations pursue
such noble directions, they will resonate and amplify one another's good works. Thus
they multiply and glorify the magnificence and greatness of the heavens.
Outcome of a temple may not be as expected but multiplier effect of the process counts. That is why the lord saint in another anniversary message shared that a temple like a flower may wither due to insects coming to it but even if the temple withers away, the fruit from the flower will bear seeds that will be spread by wind to the various corners for more flowers, that is more temples and initiatives.
Others may emulate the good works and the good work of the pioneers multiply in these other temple though the temple of the lord saint may have withered and no longer a flower. A temple may fade away like a flower but the good work of pioneers is not in vain. There will be more flowers in many more places.
