The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord (武天) Bo Tien. The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affliliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven.

The learning from cradle to grave and beyond

Learning Point No 305

All of us the moment we are born are in the journey of life. Like it or not we are moving from cradle to grave, that is from birth to death.

Is birth a joy? Well logically it should be but what if it is not welcome for some reason or other? Well there is no need to give examples.

Is death a sorrow? Logically, it is but there are some who are suicidal and do not want to live. Also, not all those who want to die are suicidal or seeking reprieve from ageing, illness and harshness of life.

From cradle to death is conventionally not a joy but there are many joyous events in life that is filled with trials and tribulations. Perhaps the process of living is the blessing in life. It is the learning that we get that matters, not being born or dying.

Every life event, be it to do with dying or living, is a blessing, never mind if the outcome is good or not.

Life may only be a few scores and at most a hundred or so years. But some have short lives and before they can live enough they die. To some even a hundred years is simply not enough.

The issue is not on life but on how we live and what we learn in life. We may lead different lives but all are born as man to learn.

The lessons of life are different but yet somehow similar for all men. If we do not enjoy learning and the joy of learning, then life is disappointing and may even be a drudgery.

Even. the moment of death is a lesson and the wise one will treasure any lesson or experience. Death comes only once for many but you can say that some have more if they have undergone near death experiences.

Sages and saints want us to learn from life. Life on the whole is unsatisfactory, not lasting and insubstantial but that is exactly why it is a joy to live as the lessons of life are many and plentiful.

Lord Bo Tien said that the issues and problems in life are many and plentiful. We can learn from life, our own as well as others.

The image of Lord Bo Tien
personifies the learning in life,
the balancing of yin and yang
as depicted by his feet
on the yin and yang elements
His left hand bids us to be steady
and have faith in life and saints.

His right hand with scepter
reminds us to hold on to
the blessing of the living gospel.
Life is that living gospel

Life is the living gospel from cradle to grave and it is a joy to learn from the ups and downs of life - the soft and hard aspects the sages of old in china  refer to as yin and yang.

The lesson is to learn how to handle and learn from yin and yang. We must be richer from the learning and be more enriched and be at peace with the vissicitudes and so-called trials and tribulations that make up life here and beyond.

We should learn to be at peace with any journey or we may crash and suffer. This applies to any event or journey within life from moment we are born and till the moment we die and go to the beyond.

Incidentally, no one really dies as everyone lives again. Cheers and God bless.

For the many who may from time to time, still be disheartened, the writer will like to share with them the universal prayer.

"To all heavenly saints I greatly adore. I seek for thy protection and guidance so as to live better for the times to come."

Do not give up. Do not be faint-hearted. Life is not for the faint-hearted.

From the moment we wake up everyday till we close our eyes to sleep and even while dreaming during sleep, life is learning. Even our dreams tell us something about our state of mind. Even doing nothing in the day and getting bored is in itself a learning of sorts. Even being a busy bee and feeling consumed by life contributes to learning.

Make life easy and peaceful. Ji Gong reminds that the solution to life and its issues are often simple. Men make them complex by trying to solve issues the round about and complicated way. Men create more problems for himself.

Ji Gong says that the solutions to life issues
are often simple but men get more entangled
when they try complicated ways out of issues

Do not do nothing or go overboard in trying to do more. Go for simple solutions and at times accept and make do but do not give up. Seek the guidance of God and saints while learning in every moment of life from cradle to grave and beyond.

Death too is a learning but many may not agree. Give this some thought though and you will accept life even better and find it easier to live life and be at peace. Keep it up. God bless.
