The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord (武天) Bo Tien. The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affliliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven.

Truth by any name or form is just as sweet

Learning Point No 142

A rose by any name or color is just as sweet. We can be enlightened by the truth that is presented to us in any form -- any sect or religion or even if none. Who says we can't?

Religion is about life. If we fathom the truth of life, we can know the truth of life and be true to life. Life is God and God is life.

Gautama Buddha went beyond the practices and religions of his day to become enlightened and then he taught the truth which he said is beyond religion but isn't God beyond religions of man as well?

Gautama Buddha the historical Buddha would never refer to his followers as Buddhists or the religion that grew from his teachings Buddhism. Men did and not Gautama. But what difference does it make?

Tao in China is just The Way. Taoism is an English word and there is no one father of Tao though Lao Tze is historically accredited with Tao. There is in Chinese language what in English would be 'The teachings of Tao (Way)'.

Even Christianity as a name did not exist during the time of Jesus. Yet, there is no doubt that Christianity exists and is centred on Jesus. It is in the forefront to win the hearts of men for God.

Amen. It is so and so be it.

Isn't the above an ample validification of the inner truth that underlies the religions of the world that Lord Bo Tien refers to? The truth is in religions and also outside the religions of men.

God does not need institutions of religion to reach out to men. Men need and not God.
