In any temple or church, do be mindful ever to concretise and give life to the mission and vision of God and saints, and not the building, the wealth and the agenda of men.
Otherwise, there will be wolves in sheeps' clothing, what Lord Bo Tien refers to as insects coming to a flower for nectar. He also wants us to reflect that the near may be far and the far may be near.
But what men give should be more of their hearts and not their money. Money will end up in the pockets of men and not with God and saints. To say that God and saints need our money is belittling them.
But men in a church or temple do need money and that is real and true not only for their own needs but also for running a temple or church.
It is, of course, God-worthy to contribute money to a church or temple so that men can do the work of God. But do not for a moment assume that you are giving money to God. God does not need our blessings.
But the devout may not agree. That is their right to do so. God knows but men may not. They do so out of love for God but love can be blind and when this happens, wisdom takes a back seat or is often lacking. May God bless them and guide them.
