Administration in a temple is the purview of the management board and spiritual matters the purview of a religious body anointed by the saint |
Who says a religious organisation must have a management board? There is no doubt about that. Who says we cannot have religious observances without an institution or society? There is again no doubt about that. But what is obvious is that the issues of men are many and plentiful and Lord Bo Tien reiterated on this. A temple must revolve around the saint and not around men. The doctrine and the saint must lead and not men. Men should confine to administrative matters and not call the tune with matters of spirituality. For it is obvious the majority knows less than the few who are wise in spiritual matters. It would neither be wise for the majority to lead by appointment of their kind to a management board nor for the wise few to dominate the majority who will not see eye to eye with the few. Segregation of doctrine leadership from administrative leadership is the answer and allows for balanced approach for yin yang harmony in any temple or church
