The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord (武天) Bo Tien. The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affliliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven.

On handling conflicts

Learning Point No 64

Lord Gautama Buddha said in the Mangala Sutra.

Asevana ca balanan.
Panditanan ca sevana.
Puja ca ye balanan.
Etan mangala mutaman

Associate with the wise
Do not associate with the fools
Honour those worthy of honour
These are the highest blessings

For those in a social conflict with others in the name of a good cause or mission, one may point finger at the others for not serving wholesome cause and for toeing personal agenda.

Inner truth netizen's advice is to go for peace. Say your piece but others may not yet be receptive. Do be wise to bow out of the scene. Go your way and let others have their ways.

If they think they are wise even though they are indeed unwise, this is their misfortune.

If they act like fools don't go near them or they may make a fool out of you.

If somehow you think they still deserve help, help them to change to good but make sure they welcome your overtures.

You may have to wait for the right time and right place. Make sure your motive is right and that is to help them and not to put them down even if you are an elder or an office holder of  a temple management board.

Do not impose or submit but know what you need to know and do.

If you expect saintly intervention, it is likely that a saint will expect you to know how to live your life. Live your life and not deny life or expect the sky out of life of your fellow men be they your elders or otherwise.

Ultimately one needs to associate with the wise and not associate with the fools and to honour those who are worthy of honour but of course there is the wise and the unwise aspects in every an individual. Bring out the wise in the other person if you can
