No man can stand on his own, be it in worldly or spiritual life though from time to time, man must get away to reflect on life. But the true and main cultivation of life is in worldly life with other men and with society.
Every man comes from a family and even those from broken families do have families of sorts. The orphanage and aged home is the family for the orphan and destitute.
Men must stand together even with their detractors so that like the particles in a concrete beam, they can better weather the vicissitudes and issues in life. This the lord saint Lord Bo Tien said. Man can bless one another that way even if they do not see eye to eye from time to time.
Every man must belong to a society and this begins with the family. For those with spouse, the better half is the spouse. The union of man and woman is destined by fate. The God light in one man is paired with that of in the woman.
This pairing usually brings out the God in the life of the "children" of God - the men and women of society.
But if they could not learn and get along, then there will be disharmony and instead of calm seas of life, there will be storms. There will be conflicts and issues. This happens even in wider society outside the family and even in a temple or church.
Men have their individual strengths which can augment one another's life. Men should help one another to overcome weaknesses and at least men must learn from the flaws of other men, not gloat over their flaws when men fail to change their brothers flaws. This is the will of Heaven.
So if the priest or pastor defaults the laws of God, do not be surprised but do learn from his flaws and not harbor misgivings. Lord Bo Tien reminds us that the issues and problems of men are many and plentiful.

As a whole, a society or temple is always beautiful but when taken apart not so. This is like the flower which as a whole is beautiful but if the flower is taken apart, the parts are not. This Lord Bo Tien reminds us.
No man is an island. This is also true not only in families, societies, churches and temples but also with religions and nations.
Religions must work to bring spiritual light to men. One religion may only do so much. Luckily, there are other religions to do their parts and together more will have the spiritual light.
No one, be it a temple, a church, a religion, a man or a woman is an island. They must band together for the good of all beings. We must be thankful that God provides not just one religion or sect but many. This the sages say is the will of Heaven. This is the Mission of Heaven so that more souls may be saved.
The lord saint Lord Bo Tien is the messenger of the God the Jade Emperor for the Mission. He is not the only saint and not here to start a new sect or religion but to show the oneness of religions. He wants us to believe in all heavenly saints.
Like the flower, religions are beautiful when seen as one, like the flower, but not so when separated as parts, like the parts of the flower. Didn't the lord saint Lord Bo Tien say so?
Likewise, men in a temple like any Bo Tien mission related temple are a beauty when seen as a whole but not as individual men. We may think how on earth could they be of the same temple!
No one can claim credit and alienate other men. Expelling a man would be unthinkable, more so if that man is a founder elder. How ugly can this be but when seen as a whole temple and mission, well wondrous and wholesome work has been done....
