When men know a little more than others and could impress and awe them, they often think allot about ourselves. They sell themselves and project their potential as leaders of the flocks.
This happens not only in the mundane world but in the world of temples and churches.
They talk from high pedestal as though they know the lot but actually without doubt know something. But certainly for sure, they do not know more and definitely not everything.
They convey the picture of having arrived and that now they can teach others how to arrive. But actually they have not arrived though they may be better off.
They put up a front but in their own privacy do show their despair and anguish with life. They try to spiritually save others openly but they themselves are yet to be saved.
They may know a little more but act as though they know all and have gone the mile. They tell you to believe and be saved just like they themselves.
They smile at you and act as though they have no problems so that this will make you more acutely aware that you have problems with life and need spiritual help which only they can impart to you.
Are they the false prophets? Be wary of false prophets. They think they have the spiritual answer and that they are the living examples when in fact they are as lost as you but perhaps a wee bit better off.
They are like insects coming to a flower to get the nectar of following by others who too come to the flower. They feel good to dominate and be in control. They like the attention by other men and the ability to wield awe and adoration.
Sometimes they act as though they represent God and saints. They like to be idolised by other men.
The flower attracts insects for nectar. This did Lord Bo Tien say in one of his latter messages.
Likewise, some churches and temples do attract such false prophets to be leaders of the flocks. Is this the will of God?
Are they the false prophets in this modern day and age? If they are, then certainly there are many.
But blame not the flower for the insects coming to it. This did Lord Bo Tien reiterate.
Likewise, blame not God and saints for such men swarming and buzzing away in the very house of God we have in temples and churches.
Even in the mission related temple of the lord saint Lord Bo Tien, there are one too many of false prophets who call themselves masters or 'sifu' in Chinese. Are you one of them?
Men cannot help wanting to share the little more of spiritual they know. But somehow, they too cannot help lording over those who believe in them. The lord saint knows and it is his ardent hope that men will learn so that all will be better off in the long run.
Be wary of the false prophets around us and in us. We too are not spared from this folly. Somehow if we are spiritual enough, we will go through the phase of being false prophets.
So dear all, never point finger at others for being false prophets and mock at them. We too will also be false prophets of sorts at some stage of spiritual development.
See not the dust in others eyes when we cannot see the dust in our own. This wise statement is from none other than Christ the Lord Jesus.
