The Living Life Series is dedicated to Lord (武天) Bo Tien. The doctrine is in His image. The image is the doctrine. He who sees, understands and effects the doctrine sees and knows Him. He who does not see, know and effect the doctrine sees not and knows not the saint even if the saint or His image is beside him. The far may be near and the near may be far. Let the doctrine and the saint be part of our life. The lord saint in your life can be any heavenly saint of any religion, sect or school. The doctrine of truth is behind all and this is the Inner Truth that leads all (regardless of their religious affliliation or even if none) to inner peace and heaven on earth here and now and not just in the after life. The ideal worship and devotion is to know and effect the doctrine of God and the saints. The best gospel is the gospel of life. We learn from our life and the lives of others. The true temple is the world we live in. The sky is the roof of the temple and religions and sects are the pillars of the temple. All under Heaven are in the temple. The whole wide world and web is the temple and must be regarded as a sacred place --- a temple for living and learning. It is more important that everyone that counts plays a role in this universal temple if due focus is to be given to the Mission of Heaven. Men must not be distracted by the agenda of men and end up serving the mission of man. That would be a far cry from the Mission of Heaven.

There are things we better not know than know

Learning Point No 345

It is sometimes, or perhaps always a blessing that we do not know or do not think about our past, be it past of the present life or the past of past lives.

Saints like Ji Gong would vouch for that. Look forward and make use of the present. Live in the present and not in past glory or gory details.

Walk into the future and
embrace a whole new life
Do not look back. Do not wait
and waste away the present.
Look ahead. The future is yet to be
It depends on how we make it to be
There is more to life
than we already have or had

The past will only bring back mere memories of good that is no more there or bring up anguish that we should no longer have.

The present well lived is a present. The past is history. The future is a mystery.

Do not live in history though if we do not learn from our past, history may repeat itself.

At the bridge of rebirth in the netherworld soon after death, it is said that many a new spirit or new dead would readily drink the water of rebirth to drink away and wipe away any memories of the past and start anew.

But not all will be wiped out.  The life force or energy called it karmic or soul energy remains to kindle our life, the new life here and now and in the future that will unfold in ways we may not fathom for now.

Of course, we do have a say somewhat.  There is the free will, the gift of Heaven for us to have some say in our life here and now, and perhaps in the foreseeable future.

Whilst the options for life and future are limited by the past, the choice of any option is dependent on the individual. The outcome is not predestined but pre-conditioned somewhat by the past. There is the choice to pilot our own life.

This choice however can be undermined if the individual keeps harping on the good old days or the bad old days.

Though most do not know their past lives, we can fancy that those who keep grumbling of the past in their present life may well have subconsciously bad experiences in past lives.

Those who think they are great and do little to make it in their present life here and now are likely those who subconsciously harp on the glory of past lives though they know nuts or nothing of the past lives.

Had men known their past lives, all hell will break loose. They will live in their past and not in the present. They forget that the present is a present and a divine gift to learn more what they had not learnt so far in the numerous past lives.

Do not be bogged down by past glory or gory. There are things we better not know than know.

Omitofo.
